Good to hear an it makes sense —where there is drought there should not be grass. Here in Ohio, unfortunately, it is rare indeed to see a home without some sort of lawn.
Love hearing the CA has banned gas-powered leaf blowers. Wish they would be banned completely - in CA and everywhere. My goodness, what's wrong with using a broom??
Three cheers for no lawns! Well heck, if folks would at least consider transitioning their front lawns, that would be something. No one ever uses their front lawns. They are purely decoration and boundary. I love taking walks and seeing front lawns converted to Monarch stations!
Yes, I was surprised and delighted to learn that California banned gas leaf blowers as well as other small gas powered tools! I hope one day, when I buy another home to go lawn free and cultivate habitat instead. I was moving in that direction with my prior home.
I live in San Diego where it is increasingly weird if people put in grass at all. Most have taken it out.
