A stay at a resort in Vegas turned into a financial nightmare. I was shocked to not only be charged nightly resort fees but also early check in, non requested room upgrade fees and telephone usage within the hotel. Trying to dispute these charges is near impossible. No customer service to speak to, email only. Which in the long run is best to have a paper trail if and when you don't give up. They count on you giving up.

Yikes, Heidi! That is a nightmare, financial and other wise. I haven't stayed in a hotel/resort in a number of years, but do remember a "resort fee" charge...it was just a hotel!

So there were no front desk people you could speak with—that's strange to me, but I haven't been around in awhile. And yes, they most assuredly count on you giving up! Did you contest these crazy charges and were they eventually removed?

I'm actually in the thick of disputing the charges. I'm following the steps set by Chris Elliott. I'm not one to give up easily.

Good for you! I know from firsthand experience, it does take persistence.
