It does beg the question why her landlord had to raise her rent; he did not have to and should not have done so. He obviously has not a shred of decency. It's outrageous also that because of medical debt, which many people have, she could not get a decent interest rate on her car. The whole story summarizes what is wrong with a country that lets this keep happening.
