thanks so much for the update on the Denver Basic Income Project! I've wondered about their success for some time. This is great to hear. Yes, starting from a place of trust (and respect) makes all the difference!

Also, I had no idea that SNAP would not allow a purchase of a hot chicken! WTF????

Scott Wilson's photo of rescued Mustangs is absolutely gorgeous.

Cat Tours? hahahaha!! I expect most cats would be a bit like Ms Bella!

Thanks for your comment, Jan. I mentioned the "hot chicken" thing before because it is just soooo stupid. SNAP will not pay for any hot prepared food. It pays for cold prepared food, but not hot. Imagine a working mother on food stamps stopping on her way home after a long shift and wanting to use her food stamps to buy a hot rotisserie chicken for her family to make her life a bit easier and getting turned down? That is a cruel choice made by out-of-touch elected officials.

I think I put Wilson's website link in the post—if you have a minute check out his website—h's lll about using his photography for advocacy. So wonderful! Oh, I would love to go on a "cat tour" of any neighborhood!
